Bovian provides Security Control Assessment and Risk Management Framework support to the FDIC Office of the Chief Information Security Office (OCISO). Bovian conducts independent comprehensive assessments of the management, operational,
and technical security/privacy controls and control enhancements (as defined in NIST SP 800-37).

Bovian personnel possess extensive knowledge in the NIST RMF (SPs 800-37, 800-53rev 4/5 and 800-53a). Bovian’s experience ranges from system categorization using FIPS 199 to continuous monitoring compliance IAW FDIC policy and best practices.

The Bovian team leverages knowledge of modern software development and deployment practices including unit testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment. Bovian demonstrates proficiency in network security architecture concepts including
topology, protocols, components and principles.
Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) Management and Retest
Bovian continuously updates and executes procedures to manage POA&Ms for internal and external systems with a focus on adjudicating POA&M creation, retest and closure requests. All POA&M activity is captured in the organization's Governance, Risk and Compliance tool.
